The management of The UWI Mona Campus is closely monitoring the development of Hurricane Beryl, its rapid intensification, and the possibility of it impacting Jamaica later this week. The Campus has activated its emergency preparations.

Please be advised that the University remains open for business and we will continue to be guided by the national updates and instructions of the Office of the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM). We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates tomorrow and until Beryl is no longer a threat.

In the meantime, we urge all students, staff, and other stakeholders to make preparations in your respective homes. Continue to check for official updates from ODPEM and The UWI Mona channels.
