The University of the West Indies Mona Campus wishes to remind all students and members of the public that the campus will be closed for face–to–face business on the dates below in keeping with the announcement made by the Government of Jamaica that there will be no movement days to curb the latest surge in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Jamaica. This announcement was made on, Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Members of the UWI community are being asked to continue to check their University emails and information from the Government of Jamaica for updates regarding the new island-wide arrangements.
Campus Closure for face-to-face business:
- Friday, September 3, 2021 - 12 noon
- Monday, September 6, 2021 – All Day
- Tuesday, September 7, 2021 – All Day
- Friday, September 10, 2021 – 12 noon
- Monday, September 13, 2021 – All Day
- Tuesday, September 14, 2021 – All Day
Access to Campus Services
New and Returning students will have access to all services of the University remotely during the closure dates. Tuition and other payments can be made online at: https://eservices.mona.uwi.edu
The University Bursary Cashier
The Assembly Hall was set up on August 28, 2021, to facilitate the payment of fees. This arrangement will continue on Saturday, September 4 and 11, 2021 from 9 am - 3 pm. Additionally, payments can be made at EDUCOM Credit Union (UWI), Jamaica National (JN), Bill Express, Paymaster and Western Union island-wide. At NCB, the two payment options that will be facilitated are:
1. Bill Payment via NCB Online Banking and
2. E-commerce payment via UWI website.
