Chairman of Operation RTG, Dennis Cohen after consultation with Campus Principal, Professor Densil Williams, is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Joe Taffe to the Steering Committee in his role as Deputy Chairman. Mr. Taffe brings to the table a tremendous amount of experience as a seasoned audit and accounting professional who had a successful career in the private sector working for firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and GraceKennedy Limited.
Mr. Taffe will work very closely with the Campus Bursary to provide insights and direction on cash flow management and treasury management among other areas, while serving as Deputy to Chairman Cohen. Mr. Taffe, has served for over 21 years in distinguished senior management roles, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the GraceKennedy Financial Group and Executive Director of GK, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2006.
He has demonstrated exceptional skills as an analytical and logical thinker and as a people and client-oriented team leader. Now retired from GraceKennedy Limited, his body of work includes serving on over 20 Boards including the Board of Directors of First Global Bank. Mr. Taffe is yet another graduate of The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, a chartered accountant, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK.
In welcoming Mr. Taffe to the Committee, Chairman Cohen commented that, “Joe brings a wealth of operational and leadership experience which very few professionals can match, and his membership is deemed an invaluable addition to the RTG Steering Committee.
