Dear Members of The UWI Mona Community,

Effective Monday, April 11, 2022, The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus commenced the issuing of vehicle gate passes to motorists accessing the campus. The passes are being issued as a means to mitigate motor vehicle theft which has been on the increase in the Corporate Area.

The passes will be sanitized before being re-issued to minimize the risk of any contamination.

Motorists who refuse to accept the pass must be prepared to display their Driver’s Licence and their vehicle registration number will be recorded by the security officer.

When exiting the campus, motorists who are not in possession of a vehicle gate pass must be prepared for secondary checks by the Security Team to prove ownership of the vehicle.
